About Gresford Sailing Club Model Boats...
Gresford Sailing Club Model Boats was established in 2006 at Gresford Flash (a lake) in the counrtryside near the village of Gresford, North Wales. The Flash is the home of the Gresford Sailing Club (real boats!). Rod Evans was the prime instigator and obtaiined the agreement of the Sailing Club for model boat enthusiasts to use the Flash on alternate Saturday afternoons and on Wednesday afternoons. Model boating now takes place most Saturday and Wednesday afternoons.
We are a section of the Gesford Sailing Club and would like to express our thanks for their help and cooperation. if you are interested in "real" boats click here to visit their website.
The Club has grown slowly over the years and now boasts over 30 members (January 2012) with a wide range of interests including saling boats, powered surface vessels, scale models and submarines. Many members construct their models from scratch while others prefer to buy kits or ready made models.
Please note that IC (e.g. petrol, glow, nitro) vessels are not permitted.
